Neo Westphalian Europe Part 13: Dominion of the Channel Islands

The Dominion of the Channel Islands is made up of the current Crown Dependencies of the Bailiwicks of Guernsey and Jersey, part of the United Kingdom. Since Brexit there has been a push for independence in this region, drawing on the islands unique Norman culture that sets it apart from the mainland proper.

However it is likely that a middle point will be reached, at least in the near term, where legislative power is devolved to the Islands themselves yet they keep the English Monarch as the head of the Executive Branch. This will lead the Islands to being a quasi-independent Dominion like Scotland and rump Canada will be.

The flag is made up from combing the current flags for the island of Jersey and the island of Guernsey to represent the collection of islands in that Bailiwick. The flag was created sometime around 2013 by an unidentified internet artist who placed it in the commons of Wikipedia.
