A great clash has arisen in Peru between native peoples and mining companies trying to expand mining for Silver in the region. As Max Keiser has been arguing for some time now there is an intense squeeze in Silver supply occurring across the globe at the moment. This will inevitably drive desperate companies to attempt to expand as much new production as possible as they face this silver shortage. Much the same way as we see the Peak Oil experience driving companies such as BP to explore in ever more dangerous areas with potential catastrophic results as the Gulf of Mexico experience last year showed us.

Whilst they may not be aware of it consciously, by preventing new mines such as this opening the peoples of the Puno region are in fact aiding the cause of the SLA. As preventing an expansion of production will ensure that the army of SLA traders can continue to hoard what supply of silver is left and drive the price of the commodity up to the catastrophic levels necessary to finally destroy JP Morgan. An event that would be a huge scalp for the many activists of the world pushing for global freedom. Remember the Crash JP Morgan campaign is less about producing personal wealth and more about staging a crowd sourced attack on the bastards that are taking us down the road to hell. So as counter intuitive as it seems the less production of Silver at the moment that occurs the better.
And in Puno we now see a huge uprising against a proposed Silver mine in the region coming to a bloody head:

These events turned even more dramatic when the locals seized the airport.
So sadly the first blood has been spilled in the Silver Liberation Armies titanic battle. However the people must persevere, as the alternative is quite horrid to contemplate.
