ATHENS (Raging Heart of the Uprising)

No Anagram For Avatar: Predictive Programing In Pop Culture [With Reference To Plato's Allegory Of The Cave]

DISCLAIMER:

I would like to begin this article with an explanation of why a discussion of James Cameron's movie Avatar [2009] is relevant to a blog that is devoted to total disinformation awareness. I intend to use this movie as an analogy to explore some of the issues surrounding predictive programming and cultural conditioning. Astute readers will note that these are two different labels for the same phenomena. I might equally call it behaviour modification or mind control, except that in the case of Avatar it happens on a mass scale. Recent estimates indicate that almost 27 million people have seen the film at a cinema with the full 3D immersion effect. For the sake of brevity I shall avoid any extended discussion of the technology behind Avatar, as I don't think the special effects are the most important factor here, although the experience of being totally immersed in someone else's vision is an issue that should be considered in depth.  Equally, I am omitting any discussion of the plot or storyline of the film as, for the sake of full disclosure I feel it is only right to admit that I haven't actually seen it on account of how the whole thing really fucking creeps me out.

INTRODUCTION:  Not Just Imprisoned, The Prison Itself

[Or: It May Only Be A Movie But It Has The Power To Transport Us All To A Magical Dreamland Where We Will Become So Happy We'll Want To Kill Ourselves]

Firstly: no responsible, rational blogger would, could or should expect to get away with a line like that.

But I'm not a responsible, rational blogger.

I'm an irresponsible, alarmist blogger.

So that's alright, then.

As I will argue [#withlogic!] in this article, predictive programming is nothing new, and one of the earliest references that I've been able to find is Plato's allegory of the cave. Before we get into that, or  into what some more contemporary thinkers are writing about predictive programming, lets have some background information on all this Avatar shit [and a fucking creepy picture] preferably from a reputable, mainstream source:
James Cameron's completely immersive spectacle "Avatar" may have been a little too real for some fans who say they have experienced depression and suicidal thoughts after seeing the film the beauty of the alien world Pandora. On the fan forum site "Avatar Forums," a topic thread entitled "Ways to cope with the depression of the dream of Pandora being intangible," has received more than 1,000 posts from people experiencing depression and fans trying to help them cope.
A user named Mike wrote on the fan Web site "Naviblue" that he contemplated suicide after seeing the movie. "Ever since I went to see 'Avatar' I have been depressed. Watching the wonderful world of Pandora and all the Na'vi made me want to be one of them. I can't stop thinking about all the things that happened in the film and all of the tears and shivers I got from it," Mike posted. "I even contemplate suicide thinking that if I do it I will be rebirthed in a world similar to Pandora and the everything is the same as in 'Avatar.'"
Creepy, right?
Other fans have expressed feelings of disgust with the human race and disengagement with reality. Cameron's movie, which has pulled in more than $1.4 billion in worldwide box office sales and could be on track to be the highest grossing film of all time, is set in the future when the Earth's resources have been pillaged by the human race. A greedy corporation is trying to mine the rare mineral unobtainium from the planet Pandora, which is inhabited by a peace-loving race of 10-foot tall, blue-skinned natives called the Na'vi.

In their race to mine for Pandora's resources, the humans clash with the Na'vi, leading to casualties on both sides. The world of Pandora is reminiscent of a prehistoric fantasyland, filled with dinosaur-like creatures mixed with the kinds of fauna you may find in the deep reaches of the ocean. Compared with life on Earth, Pandora is a beautiful, glowing utopia.

Cameron's special effects masterpiece is very lifelike, and the 3-D performance capture and CGI effects essentially allow the viewer to enter the alien world of Pandora for the movie's 2½-hour running time, which only lends to the separation anxiety some individuals experience when they depart the movie theater.
"Virtual life is not real life and it never will be, but this is the pinnacle of what we can build in a virtual presentation so far," said Dr. Stephan Quentzel, psychiatrist and Medical Director for the Louis Armstrong Center for Music and Medicine at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York. "It has taken the best of our technology to create this virtual world and real life will never be as utopian as it seems onscreen. It makes real life seem more imperfect." Within the fan community, suggestions for battling feelings of depression after seeing the movie include things like playing "Avatar" video games or downloading the movie soundtrack, in addition to encouraging members to relate to other people outside the virtual realm and to seek out positive and constructive activities.

So, let's review: Avatar is a "completely immersive spectacle" which has produced in some viewers "feelings of disgust with the human race and disengagement with reality" as well as suicidal ideation and the belief in some kind of supernatural afterlife upon death. Astute readers will immediately notice the similarities between this and the intended results of both military training and religious indoctrination.

And that is why I want to examine it more closely in our awesome new blog.

FOX News Guilty of Treason, Bill O’Reilly to be Hanged ... Lamestream Media gutted ...

At least this would be the headline if the USAF get their way ... while I would not necessarily have a problem with Papa Bear getting lynched, the problem is that the dragnet that would get him would get pretty much every other journalist in America and thousands and thousands of US citizens not from the Fourth Estate!

On Feb 3rd Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base sent out a new guidance basically stating that anyone who accesses material on Wikileaks deemed to be classified could be charged under the Espionage Act … oh, and by the way it’s all still classified (well, the war diaries and the cables anyway) … and don’t even think of downloading the insurance file [Ferretous says: note to self – burn it to disk and delete from hard-drive asap – just kidding, I never downloaded it, what file? Nothing to see here, moving along …]

Funnily enough they napalmed themselves in the foot with this Disinfo attempt … defendants in the Wikileaks leaks cases could end up using this guidance as a loophole to have the charges thrown out of court, by rendering the Act invalid. If a law automatically renders a considerable section of society criminal it is generally considered unconstitutionally broad and would be repealed … (I have no reference for this, it may not be true, taken from a FAS webpage)

[SockRatEz says: huh, why doesn’t that apply to pot?][Greg the Bunny says: Clinton says it's because there is too much money in keeping drugs illegal][Ferretous says: Bunny, that's disinfo, you've been reading too many Alex Jones headlines and not just clicking straight on the source link ... if you read what she said for yourself you'll see that while what she said was completely illogical it is typical of the Jones network of sites to sex up their headlines to snare you ... total disinfo tactic ... never do that ... #um,startingNOW]

So by Feb 7th the USAF withdrew the guidance although they do still apply strict rules on their own staff.

Looks like we all just dodged a Disinfo AIM-9 Sidewinder …

Australian Bankruptcy!! Foreclose on it Now!!!

Australia is now completely bankrupt, Morally, Environmentally and Economically!!

[Ferretous says: Australia is not economically bankrupt ... yet ... at least not the state ... fair enough private debt is through the roof ... what is true is that this is exactly what fiscal policy and deficits are for ... spend when you need to, save when you can ... it is not rocket science people ... ]

[SockRatEz says: ... just that the Ranga has sh!t for brains and is being manipulated by those who installed her and doesn't seem to grasp basic economics 101 ... cry you bitch cry ... maybe one of the crocodiles coming out your face might do us a favour and take off your head]

All three of these things have now conspired to lead to a Secret Plan to pull out of Afghanistan.

When this report first broke as an exclusive on The Age last night it left us thinking "Why would they even HAVE to enact such a plan in secret". A huge portion of the Australian public actually wants OUT of the Terror Wars of Imperialism according to polls. So to announce that would surely be a play in FAVOUR of any government.

But it leads us to speculate maybe the Parliament was desperately getting ready to cut the war in an attempt to pay for the huge natural disaster clean up bills. And they were doing this against the wishes of the TRUE men behind the Australian throne. The people from the City of London and the Frank Lowy's of that region who truly control the country and could care less if a few thousand Australians are currently homeless. Using the human resources as muscle to fight and die in the wars of conquest and then rape mining their mineral resources from them are all the Globalists see Australia as useful for really when it comes down to it. If this was the case it would make sense why Parliament was skulking around trying to pull out in secret.

Then of course all the excitement that maybe this change, however selfishly inspired, WAS coming was squashed. So no apparently Australia is going to remain in Afghanistan to the ends of time despite having almost no money now to support the campaign.

Even the Russians realised when the game was up and at least had the decency to pull back BEFORE they collapsed. Australia and in some sense America seems to be going for the Roman style collapse where they will actually have troops stranded overseas that they can never recall after the collapse finishes.

Australia is desperately trying to find money in order to pay for post disaster reconstruction and astonishingly instead of using it as a stimulus to the economy is actually instigating Austerity measures to pay for it. Which surely will mean you will restore housing to people but then have cut all the surrounding services that make living in a civilised city worthwhile. Why they can not borrow to pay for the rebuild as would have happened in the past makes us seriously question the health of the Australian balance sheets.

And why the FIRST Austerity measure suggested was not to immediately withdraw from the illegal invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq is absolutely mind boggling. The Australian public is allowing a government led by a psychotic Ranga and a bastard Opposition leader tell them that basically they will have to starve before any troops are brought home as securing the outposts of the Empire are more important than the well being of the actual citizens of the supposed well off heartlands of the said Empire.

And not only do these sycophantic bastards in Canberra not care for their subjects they do not even seem to care for those they are sending to die for this immoral cause.

[Ferretous says: even Rummy apologised for his "stuff happens" comment, and that was about looting not the death of one of our children]

This is BEYOND disgusting. Surely now is the time for the public of Australia to immediately Foreclose on the bankrupt state that they find themselves in!

[Greg the Bunny says: Hey now lets be fair to Abbott here. This has all been taken WAY out of context. He was merely stating that with all the supporting fire power that was at the disposal of this group of troops nothing would have prevented this soldier getting killed in the particular battle. No amount of extra equipment would have saved him. Hence as he said "sometimes shit just happens"]

[WhiteyRound Eye says: That is ridiculous DISINFO Bunny. The statement still stands even in that context that Abbot is making the case that this death was completely unavoidable. When it was a COMPLETELY avoidable death if the troops WEREN'T THERE TO BEGIN WITH!!! Let us not forget that as it stands all the evidence at the disposal of the World should it choose to look into it suggests that 911 at WORST was an "Inside Job" and at best the events of that day resemble absolutely nothing like the ridiculous fiction referred to as the "911 Commission Report" would have us believe. Thus the entire premise backing the Afghan campaign to begin with is based on a falsity. This makes the Afghan war every bit as illegal as the Iraq invasion and thus all foreign troops over there are committing a towering number of war crimes by even having boots on the ground over there. Thus this death was COMPLETELY avoidable and no this "shit" does NOT just happen. More respect from a man who almost became a minister of the cloth would be expected one would have thought.]

[Ferretous says: I would have put "for want of a better term" after "inside job" ... some people think this means you are suggesting the whole govt was in on it, which is certainly not the case ... in fact I would say that the Govt had nothing to do with it ... certain people who hold positions in Govt using certain Govt orchestrations and tools may have ... subtle difference but less disinforming]

Global Day of Rage!

Well it looks like the Lamestream Media in the United States just blew the lid on all of it:

[Ferretous says: OMG WhiteyRoundEye, are you really going to use a Sarah Palin phrase? How about blamememe media or brainclean media, but let's not endorse the language used by that bernank]

[WhiteyRound Eye says: No I stand by my use of Lamestream Media. That had to be the most hilarious self referential bit of Disinformation EVER in HISTORY when Sarah Palin used it in some deranged attempt to make her seem like a 'rebel' against the 'lamestream' whilst she was busy hijacking the initially quite potent Tea Party movement back into a sad and sorry bunch of Globalist controlled sheep that they have become. No one could have been MORE Lamestream than Sarah herself so her using that term was just one of the greatest and funniest things we have ever seen. I sincerely hope she runs for Pres in 2012 and wins as it will not be much longer after that were she to win that we would see the United States (which as we know is the headquarters of the Globalists Military muscle) nuking itself. A world with Palin in charge would be a world on the brink of total chaos. Cairo of the past few weeks would look like a well organised Fascist society in comparison.]

[Greg the Bunny says: ... and that's what you want? I reckon that's disinfo ... I reckon deep down you'd prefer a peaceful solution] [SockRatEz says: ... as long as peaceful means chopping and solution means banksters heads off ... or like we just round up all the banksters and have a good olde style burning ... then we can leave the rest of us in peace ... got it Bunny?][Sparx says: Oh SockRatEz, you magnificent fool, would it be an accurate characterisation to say that despite all your rage, you are still, in effect, a rat in a cage? #iknowbutyouare.]
[Greg the Bunny says: ... for me peaceful is dew drops on lettuce leaves ... but whatever juliennes your carrot]

We have heard thanks to some of our overseas contacts that a media firewall is still trying to prevent this knowledge into at least two countries the Republic of Ireland and Australia. Apparently the main economic disinfo agent in Australia Koche hasn't yet made this connection ever. But there it is plain as day from the mouths of the American establishment ITSELF!!!

[Greg the Bunny says: so would this classify as dis-disinformation?]

All this leads us to the conclusion there is only one way forward now. We must call for a GLOBAL Day Of Rage. Anyone reading this with the correct contacts to make it happen must start the planning. Facebook groups etc to get the ball rolling. Basically pick a day that the Anti Austerity movements that are sweeping Europe and parts of South America (and SHOULD be raging in the United States itself if they woke up to it all) can march in solidarity with the Anti Inflation movements that are sweeping Africa and Asia (and SHOULD be sweeping Australia if they pulled their heads out of their asses long enough to see that recent natural disasters are NOT the only reason they are suffering such an Inflationary shock right now). If all these movements called a global strike and marched on the same day what a resounding message that would send. And if all the major capitals of the world ended up with a Tahrir Square camp in their centre demanding an end to this madness of Inflationary apocalypse and Imperial Warfare (troops MUST come out of Iraq and Afghanistan as part of the solution no "waiting for stability" excuses allowed) then the Globalists would be on the run. Unions and social rights groups around the world must start contacting each other and preparing for this.

The marchers should march waving bread loafs like we have seen in Tunisia or if they have been participating in Max Keisers "Crash JP Morgan Buy Silver Campaign" maybe some of them can bring a silver coin to the day and march waving that in the air. And the marches should end in a campaign of civil disobediance until the banksters have been arrested and the troops withdrawn.

Also if anyone from 4chan is reading this we have seen alot of Government websites go down across the world in the past few weeks. But those Central Bank computers seem to be up and running still. (hint hint)

[Ferretous says: you mean the ones with the Homer Chicken pressing the "Print_Money" button in the top right corner]

[SockRatEz says: yeah, then with all the swaps they've been doing since GFC they'll just say "hey look, all that toxic debt on our balance sheet disappeared ... I guess we can start printing from scratch!"]

[HappyAppleStarlight says: You guys! We should call a Global Day Of Praying To The Space Brothers, The Dolphins, The Space Dolphins, And [Space] Princess Diana To Come And Save Us At The Last Minute Like The Elves Saved The Hobbits In Lord Of The Rings! Rage is, like, so angry, you know?!]

Conflicts and Interests – “Mubarak should stay” ?

"President Mubarak's continued leadership is critical: it's his opportunity to write his own legacy" says Frank Wisner, Obama’s US envoy to Egypt during the crisis. As a result Obama and Clinton came out in support for Mubarak ...

DANGER – DISINFO

While there are a few things wrong with this statement, lets not waste ink stating the bleeding obvious.

So where is the disinfo and who is the victim?

Well it turns out Frank Wisner works for Mubarak ... [SockRatEz says: are you fucking kidding me?]

[Ferretous says: well he works for Patton Boggs in Egypt ... which works for ... ]

So was Obama a victim of Frank Wisner disinfo?
