Even as a nationalist, decentralising wave, sweeps Scotland towards ending union with England, the Scots themselves are
facing breakaway republics in their more remote regions. The people of the
Outer Hebrides represent one such movement. The territory of this nation is made up of all the islands in the Outer Hebrides archipelago.
