Radiation Update 3: Fucked Up Shima

Okay so things are going really poorly now. To start with the good news for those of us in the Southern Hemisphere is that levels are holding normal for us down south (at least over Melbourne Australia for now):

For those of you reading this in the Northern Hemisphere dont take this as a welcome sign that there is somewhere you can flee too. Dont forget this IS Australia. We will shoot at you and lock you in torture camps if you turn up on our shores as 'refugees' from this nightmare.

As far as the Northern Hemisphere goes we have noticed wildly oscilating readings now on the Californian live feed we have been tracking. Not good. Some sort of event is going on. Lets just hope those living on the West Coast of America are smart enough to be taking precautions and not wandering out to their deaths like the fishermen of Louisiana did with their Corexit party last year.

This uptick in activity is probably due to the uptick in activity in Japan itself. Somehow even as the Dai-ichi mess gets worse now a second plant has begun to show signs of strife. The Fukushima Daini plant was showing smoke over its reactor one turbine house. Which leads us to ask What the FUCK?? Didnt you switch that thing off the other week as you evacuated the thing?? What are these monkeys up to??

So by my count we have Four Reactors at the Dai-ichi plant in strife and at least one in strife at the Daini plant leading to a total of FIVE reactors going spastic at the moment. When we compare this to the single reactor out of the Four Reactor Chernobyl plant that caused all that mayhem in the 80's we surely have some serious shit on our hands?? Although apparently not its only Farts we are dealing with:

What a load of bollocks. We even today had the admission from the IAEA that in at least one of the Reactors at Dai-ichi as it Meltsdown we may acheive Nuclear Fission begining again. So called Recriticality. But hang on dont those control rods shut that sort of thing down?? I dont know enough about the process so if any Physicists or Al Queda are reading this perhaps you can jump on the comments and enlighten us as to how the nuclear process works.

Another intriguing query has also arisen now that reports raw Plutonium has been found outside the plant arise. If the spent fuel rod pools in some of the complexs sit in the upper parts of the building then how on earth did they survive the blast that ripped through some of them:

How did the rods themselves not become projectiles shot like missiles out of this explosion?? An interesting in depth analysis of this possibility can be found here.

Aside from the technical aspects of what must now surely be viewed as a completely apocalyptic scenario (STOP telling us its safe you bastards!!) this once more shows the interesting socio-political aspects of the fact that we are now completely under Corporate occupation around the World. It is astounding that this whole recovery effort has been under the control of the PRIVATE COMPANY (TEPCO) that owns the reactor. Surely in an event so serious the whole thing should have immediately been occupied by Government forces and the process of handling the disaster shifted to a Government response? But of course it was not in our new modern world of disaster. And of course the Private Company made decisions based NOT on the best interests of Japan or the world but on their profit margin.

Yesterday the head of company announced that four of the Reactors would be decommissioned now at the plant: "Looking at current conditions, I have to say there are no options other than decommissioning reactors 1-4," Tsunehisa Katsumata said.

Wait so only NOW weeks later has decomissioning been considered?? The minute they started blowing up shouldnt this have been a shut down and decomissioning project?? Apparently not. So it seems all along they were trying to save the reactors and minimise damage so they could CONTINUE TO USE THEM!!!!!! No wonder its been such a slow and painstaking process. The things are dangerous radiation emitting planet killers at this point. Dont hold back do whatever you have to to destroy the things safely!!! But no in the interests of TEPCO's profit they were trying to save and restore them!!!

This is exactly what we witnessed last year when BP somehow got jurisidiction over the entire Gulf Of Mexico and was allowed to go on its private rampage of a genocide and ecocide spree with the US government subservient to the whole thing even though supposedly it was on THEIR sovereign territory. And for all those who claimed that the numerous predictions of a Corexit apocalypse were wrong and thus the event was a big splashy nothing (you know who you are) turns out your WRONG!! These things just sometimes take time to fully eventuate.

[HappyAppleStarlight says: No not the Dolphins!!! Why haven't the Space Dolphins come down to save them?]

So really moving forward the Governments of the world need to F^%KING DO THEIR JOB and actually declare war on the Corporations for the good of the populations they supposedly represent. If they dont then they are pointless and their is no need for a Government at all. All you fat cat Parlimentarians and Congressmen can F^&K OFF to Fukushima for the rest of your natural lives. Which apparently should be greatly increased by the wonderful benefits of living in a radiation zone according to your own theories. Enjoy mofos!!!!!!

Yes.. this is definitely terrifyingly 'slack' behaviour on behalf of TEPCO.. and as you suggest, potentially '$elf-$ervingly' $lack also!

Perhaps it is worth taking on board that the INITIAL Earthquake/Tsunami 'Disaster' was of such immense and immediate proportions.. that in fact Total Chaos, Death and Shock reigned - at all levels and everywhere in Japan at the (same) time! This is no 'excuse' but simply a fact.

But Adding this to the fact that the Reactors were only 'designed' to handle a '7' Quake and then got hit by a '9', also shows up a basic stupidity/cost cutting process that is now utterly inexcusable.. at ALL levels!

Was this 'deliberate'? Were the Japanese sold cheap and nasty Reactors that it was known would fall apart with the simple Flick of a 'HAARP' Switch, at a later date?

We don't know.. (yet).. but what we do know is that We have hit our entire Planet (and our Consciousness) hard and right in the Guts with this one.. and hopefully 'things' WILL never be 'the same'.. EVER again and as a direct result!

Sending Love & Light to the Zone!

No doubt the initial disaster was enormous. In no way am I suggesting that the initial problems could have been avoided by anyone necessarily.

I still maintain however that in the face of all such large scale industrial accidents the response should still be immediately put in the hands of the Government. The companies may have staff with the technical skills that are needed in the response but for the duration of the emergency they should be under the auspices of the Government.

I see no great problem with the Nationalisation of disaster response. Indeed the Privatisation of it seems totally crazy. What is the point of even having a Government at all if this is the case? The Industrialists and Banksters are more Anarchist than the Anarchists at this point with these suggestions.

And whilst the initial response to the disaster we can forgive for being slow given the sheer devastation that has occurred the intent of the response is what I have issue with.

Now they are talking of decomissioning they are shifting gears in the mission and preparing to seal up and concrete over the whole thing. Why on earth did they not begin that process a week or so ago when all the assets were in place that could have achieved this?? Because they were trying to cool down the reactors so they could clean them and restart them!! THAT is the crime in this case. Allowing extra weeks of contamination to occur than needed to happen.

And that was purely a business decision and had nothing to do with numbers of assets available to them or the disaster exceeding their technical skills at this point. Or if it HAS exceeded their technical skills then why have they not admitted this to the world?

TEPCO should be forced to shut ALL their outstanding reactors as well. They are still talking of maintaining Reactors 5 and 6 at the plant even after they have got the Meltdowns at the other reactors under control.

This is as crazy as the fact that three of the reactors at Chernobyl were kept in use even after the huge disaster at reactor 4 at that facility. Something many overlook and forget about that mess.

Really a no nuke future must be the way forward. And all the "Green" groups who have fallen into the "AGW is the most pressing environmental issue and Nukes are the only way to fix it" trap need to completely rethink their position.

Yes, any National Disaster, anywhere, should of course be handled straight away by the Government responsible for that country.

I suppose there is a legal 'stand-off' scenario between the Mega-Corps (who probably OWN 'Government' anyway) and Goverment itself as to WHOm actually 'takes' or 'hands on' responsibility! Like.. WHO ends up 'footing the Bill'?

Green groups have largely had their heads shoved up their arses for the last decade as far as I can see.. very strange!

Create a 'C02' panic-consciousness.. and suddenly Nukes are really 'clean'.. because they dont produce any C02!

I remain bewilldered!

Thanks for the blog!
